Chukwu made the remark while speaking to LEADERSHIP during the observation of the 2025 World Malaria Day at Apunmiri Ubakala, headquarters of Umuahia South local government area.

His words: „As stateholders, it behoves us to raise our voices against malaria through awareness towards prevention of mosquito bites which is the causes of malaria.“

He said such action would be in accord with the theme of the observation which is „Malaria Ends With Us“ and called for sustained effort by all against the disease.

The aide expressed worry that though malaria is a preventable disease, it had continued to claim huge number of lives especially among vulnerable groups and communities.
