The Anglican Bishop of Diocese of Niger Delta, Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Oko-Jaja has warned Nigerians in positions of authority to avoid using their positions to bully others.

This is because the Bishop of Okrika Anglican Diocese, Rt. Enoch Atuboyesia warned Christians against blowing up the change of pleasing God in whatever they do.

Oko-Jaja spoke yesterday during the Boys’ Brigade’s Thanksgiving service to celebrate a successful 2025 camping trip at Saint Cyprian’s Anglican Church, Hospital Road, Port Harcourt.

The suspended Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, attended the Thanksgiving service and was accompanied to the church service by Hon. Fubara Hart, Hon. Ngozi Abu, and Hon. Tamunosisi Gogo Jaja.

Emphasising that leadership carries enormous responsibility and requires patience, a rare virtue, the Bishop admonished the Boys Brigade to shun cultism as they grow.

Meanwhile, the Anglican Bishop of Okrika Diocese in Rivers State, Rt. Enoch Atuboyesia has encouraged Christians to redeem the time to please God.

Atuboyesia made the call yesterday while preaching at the Thanksgiving service of the 1st session of the 8th Synod of the diocese, with the theme “Walking Circumspectly (Ephesians 5:15),” which was held at Saint Mary’s Anglican Church, Kalio-Ama, in the Okrika local government area of the state.

The Bishop reminded Christians that walking circumspectly without the Holy Spirit is impossible; this is our excellent opportunity to redeem the time.
