A 20-year-old drug dealer identified as Abdullahi Bawa has been remanded by a Chief Magistrate Court II presided over by A. M. Adamu for stabbing his friend, Baba Ali to death.
Bawa allegedly stabbed his friend during a quarrel over hard drug known as Diazepam in Adamawa State.
Bawa has been remanded in prison custody for allegedly stabbing a friend with pair of scissors to death.
The remand order followed the arraignment of the suspect before the court by the Adamawa State Police Command.
Bawa, who hails from Ngurore in Yola South local government area, allegedly stabbed Ali with a pair of scissors in the chest, which led to his death.
The defendant also reportedly stabbed a lady known as Hasim, currently receiving treatment at a medical facility.
The prosecutor, Inspector Nanugi Tayeri, who described the defendant as a serial offender, informed the court that he committed the crime on the 25th April, 2025.
Insp. Nanugi told the court in the First Information Report tendered that the defendant allegedly murdered his victim over hard drug and injured one other.
He stated that the offences “causing grievous hurt and culpable homicide” contravene Section 218 and 191 of penal code law Adamawa State.
