The Kebbi State Amirul-Hajj for the 2025 Hajj exercise and the emir of Argungu, Sama’ila Muhammed Mera, has warned intending pilgrims from the state not to carry luggage with illegal consignments.

He gave the warning shortly after a security meeting presided over by him on Tuesday evening at the premises of PWA in Birnin Kebbi.

He warned that anybody caught with illegal items in his/her travelling bags will be arrested and handed over to the Nigerian or Saudi security forces for prosecution.

Mera also announced that PWA has concluded arrangements to begin airlifting the first 420 Pilgrims on Friday, May 9, at Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport Ambursa in Birnin Kebbi.

The Amirul-Hajji, however, advised intending pilgrims to always listen to information and messages from Hajj guides regarding flight schedules so that they do not miss the journey.
