The Government of Pakistan has rejected allegations propagated by the Indian media, accusing Pakistan of launching attacks in Pathankot, Jaisalmer, and Srinagar.

In a press statement issued on Friday, the High Commissioner of Pakistan in Nigeria, Rt. Maj.-Gen. Sohail Khan, stated that the claims were entirely unfounded, politically motivated, and part of a reckless propaganda campaign aimed at maligning Pakistan.

He said that the repeated pattern of levelling accusations against Pakistan without any credible investigation reflects a deliberate strategy to manufacture a pretext for aggression and to further destabilise the region.

“Such actions not only endanger regional peace but also reveal a disturbing willingness to exploit misinformation for political and military ends.

“We urge the international community to take serious note of this dangerous behaviour and to counsel India toward restraint and responsibility. Any escalation based on false pretences will be met with full resolve and determination to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“Pakistan remains vigilant and firmly committed to peace, but it will not be deterred by attempts to provoke, intimidate, or mislead. It reserves the right to respond to acts of aggression. These allegations are rejected in the strongest possible terms,” he added.

Pakistan had earlier rejected India’s Defence Minister’s claims that a significant percentage of terrorists eliminated in Jammu and Kashmir were of Pakistani origin.

Pakistan’s military leadership dismissed the statements as “hollow” and “reckless,” accusing India of using such rhetoric to divert attention from its internal issues and human rights violations.
