As the metaverse hype train continues to move forward, websites like Roblox start to gain more and more traction, leading to an estimation for between 65 million to 70 million daily active users playing the many different games available on the website by the end of 2023.
One of those games is Cadlem’s newest release, Training Simulator, a game where you become a bodybuilder by lifting weights and using different gym equipment that allows you to get bigger and stronger as you spend time training. Sounds like a simple gameplay concept, but Cadlem notes that in the course of over a month, his newest creation has gotten him 35 million visits, allowing him to at one point be the 32nd biggest game on the website.
Cadlem said: “I had hopes of seeing the game in the top 50 list, wouldn’t call it an expectation but more so a “dream”, but if you asked me if we’d be able to nearly get in the top 30 games I wouldn’t believe you”.
With the game’s growth, many content creators were quick to jump on Training Simulator and start recording Youtube videos on it, with Cadlem mentioning that the game is now registering more than 10 million views on all content produced on his game combined.
When asked about what he’d consider to be a few other factors that helped his game grow further, Cadlem noted that the right advertisements played a big role in retaining new visitors, and that he had his game translated in 22 languages, which is something he considers to be a powerful tool “to get closer with international audiences, as they become able to play the game in their native language and connect with players from their own country, which adds a different feel to their experience” Cadlem said.
The Roblox platform itself has recently announced that games using its newest machine translation tool technology were getting a 3.6% playtime increase in Russia, over games that had the tool disabled.
