The Nigeria Film and Videos Censors Board (NFVCB) has opened calls for submission for its 2025 Nigeria Indigenous Language Film Showcase (NILFS) set to hold in September 2025.

The board called on young Nigeria filmmakers who produce movies in indigenous languages besides the three major languages of Nigeria – Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba.

To qualify for the showcase, participants films must be in a Nigerian indigenous language outside the three major Nigerian languages. Participants must pay a registration fee of N10,000, and their films for the showcase must be certified by the NFVCB.

As part of efforts to encourage indigenous language film production, NFVCB also offers a special rate classification fee of N25,000 to indigenous language film producers.

Winners of the one-day showcase (decided by a jury) will receive cash prizes worth N5million and film production equipment.
