Police Stray Bullet Allegedly Kills WAEC Candidate In Oyo

A yet-to-be-identified student who was on his way to write his West African Examination Certificate (WAEC) examination was on Tuesday killed by a stray bullet allegedly from a policeman chasing a vehicle in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

According to OyoInside, eyewitnesses reported that the stray bullet from the policeman who shot at a moving vehicle being chased by a police team along Gbagi Market Road in Ibadan, hit the innocent student on his father’s motorcycle.

Sympathisers immediately rushed the student to Welfare Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

LEADERSHIP reports that angry protesters consequently took the corpse of the victim to the State Secretariat to inform Governor Seyi Makinde.
