Kwara Airlifts Last Batch 140 Intending Pilgrims To Saudi Arabia

After a day of delay, the last batch of 140 intending pilgrims from Kwara State was airlifted to Saudi Arabia yesterday.

The elated pilgrims who had been at the Hajj Camp since Monday were airlifted by the Max aircraft.
The aircraft took off from Babatunde Idiagbon International Airport at 6:42 p.m., bringing the five scheduled flights to a close.

The chairman of the Kwara State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Prof. Mashood Mahmud—Jimba, the executive secretary of the Board, Alh Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, the Amirul Hajj and Olupo of Ajase -Ipo, Oba Ismail Alebiosu, and some NAHCON and state officials were also on board.

Mahmud – Jimba thanked the state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for his invaluable support in ensuring the successful transportation of the pilgrims from the Ilorin airport.

The Amirul Hajj, Oba Ismail Alebiosu, enjoined the intending pilgrims to pray for peaceful coexistence in Nigeria and Kwara State.
