Briefing newsmen after inspecting and receiving the projects, the executive chairman of SUBEB, Adamu

Duguri, reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to providing adequate teachers and infrastructure for effective learning.

Duguri, represented by the permanent secretary of the board, Abdulhamid Mohammed, said that the Governor Bala Mohammed-led administration has not only significantly reduced the number of out-of-school children but also improved educational standards in the state.

He also gave the breakdown of expected enrollment for each model school to include 700 pupils for Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, over 300 pupils for Kobi and Ibrahim Bako, respectively.
He lamented the challenges of out-of-school children in the state, hence the need for construction of model schools in the three senatorial zones.

Alhaji Duguri commended Governor Bala Muhammad for approving the employment of over 2,000 teachers to address manpower shortages across schools.

He expressed satisfaction with the quality and standard of the projects, saying the projects would reshape the future leaders.

The SUBEB chairman urged community leaders to take ownership of the school infrastructure and focus on student enrollment and retention for the state’s overall development.
