Conference of Professionals in Peoples Democratic Party (CP-PDP) has said that the defection of Akwa Ibom State governor, Pastor Umo Eno, from PDP to the All Progressives Congress (APC) has ruined his political rating and reputation among Nigerians.
Protem National Coordinator of CP-PDP, Barr. Obinna Nwachukwu, who gave the group’s position on the defection of Eno in a statement on Friday, said it was unfortunate that Governor Eno who assumed office with the reputation of a ‘Man of God’ and lover of the people is now shoveled among “the ranks of arrogant, ungodly, thoughtless and notorious lawbreakers whose only desire is to accumulate power and loot the resources meant for the wellbeing of the ordinary people.”
Nwachukwu said the Conference, after an extensive review, found it disappointing that Pastor Eno could admire and decide to pitch tents with President Bola Tinubu who, according to group, was “widely adjudged to have failed woefully in his mid-term assessment.”
“By this decision to politically self-destruct, Governor Eno is standing alone in the journey to political oblivion as he can no longer command the solidarity of the people of Akwa Ibom state which remains in the PDP,” he added.
