The National Working Committee of All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed delight over the defection of the Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Umo Eno to the party.
Governor Eno had earlier yesterday announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC, citing the need to connect Akwa Ibom to the government at the centre, among other reasons.
Reacting to the development, the APC through its national publicity secretary, Felix Morka said the ruling party was confident that his thoughtful decision would enhance the greater progress of Akwa Ibom State and people.
The party assured the governor of its fullest cooperation and accommodation in the APC family, as it continues to grow and work together towards the full realisation of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu for the good and benefit of all Nigerians.
