Gov Idris Approves Students’ Bursary For 2024/2025 Academic Session

Kebbi State governor, Nasir Idris, has approved the immediate release of scholarship allowances for indigent students at Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto (UDUS) and Federal University, Birnin Kebbi, for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Commissioner for higher education, Alhaji Isa Abubakar Tunga announced this to newsmen yesterday at a news briefing held at the ministry’s conference hall in Birnin Kebbi.

According to Tunga, the sum of N423,101,955.30k covers registration fees of 6,127 indigent students in UDUS and FUBK for 2024/2025 academic session.

He disclosed that the sum of N211,626,378.30k is paid to 3,922 students of the Federal University, Birnin Kebbi, while N210,475,577.00k was paid to 2,205 students of the Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto.

The commissioner noted that efforts are in the pipeline to release another bursary allowance for all other indigent students studying in other tertiary institutions across the country.
