The chairman of Kaduna South local government, Hon. Rayyan Hussein has announced the launch of a toll-free line dedicated to receiving complaints, reports, and feedback on service delivery across all Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) in the local government area.

Hussein explained that the initiative was part of Governor Uba Sani’s broader statewide reform to enhance the quality of healthcare services in the 255 PHCs across the state.

He noted that the governor has shown unwavering support for improving health infrastructure and services at the grassroots level.

“This is a significant step in our ongoing effort to reform the health sector in Kaduna South. The toll-free line 08000044433 is not just a complaint channel, it is a tool for change,” Hussein said.

According to him, the toll-free number is designed to empower residents of Kaduna South to report any case of poor service, neglect, or misconduct by health workers in a secure and confidential manner.

He emphasised that all reports would be taken seriously, assuring that appropriate action would be taken promptly.

“Access to quality healthcare is a right, not a privilege. We are putting systems in place that allow every citizen, regardless of their background to speak up. When you call, your voice will be heard,” he said.

Hussein stressed that the local government will not tolerate any form of negligence or indiscipline within the healthcare system, adding that the new measure will help rebuild trust between health service providers and the community.

The LG boss urged residents to make effective use of the toll-free line, describing it as a vital link between the people and government in the ongoing drive to improve healthcare delivery.

“Let us continue to work together to build a healthier Kaduna South for today and for generations to come,” Hussein said.
