Chairman of Kaduna South local government, Hon. Rayyan Hussein, has announced the launch of a toll-free line dedicated to receiving complaints, reports and feedbacks on service delivery across all Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) in the local government area.
The chairman said the initiative was part of Governor Uba Sani’s state-wide reforms to enhance the quality of healthcare services in the 255 PHCs across the state.
Hussein noted that the governor had shown unwavering support for improving health infrastructure and services at the grassroots level.
“This is a significant step in our ongoing effort to reform the health sector in Kaduna South. The toll-free line 08000044433 is not just a complaint channel, it is a tool for change,” he said.
According to him, the toll-free number is designed to empower residents of Kaduna South to report any case of poor service, neglect or misconduct by health workers in a secure and confidential manner.
He emphasised that all reports would be taken seriously, and appropriate action would be taken promptly.
Hon. Hussein stressed that the local government would not tolerate any form of negligence or indiscipline within the healthcare system, adding that the new measure would help rebuild trust between health service providers and the community.
