Ondo Assembly Confirms 15 Nominees As Commissioner

The Ondo State House of Assembly,  on Tuesday, confirmed the appointment of 15 nominees as Commissioners in the state.
The nominees were confirmed at a plenary session presided over by the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji at the House of Assembly Complex in Akure, the state capital.
Submitting the report of the House Committee on the screening, the  Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Gbegudu Ololade recommended the confirmation of the nominees.
Ololade said the nominees were physically, mentally, and emotionally stable to accomplish the tasks of the positions as state Commissioners.
The Majority leader, Hon Olatunji Oshati moved the motion for the report to be considered and the Commissioner designates be confirmed, just as it was seconded by Honourable Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi, the lawmaker representing Owo 1 Constituency.
Shortly before the appearance of the Commissioner designates, the Clerk of the House, Barrister Benjamin Jaiyeola, had read a letter forwarded to the House by one of the Commissioner designates, Engr. Ayodele Olawoye, apologising for his inability to show up due to an official assignment outside the country with Governor Aiyedatiwa.
Accepting his apology, the House later unanimously agreed that another day would be scheduled for his confirmation immediately after his arrival.
The 15 confirmed Commissioner designates are Hon. Sunday Olajide, Alhaji Amidu Takuro, Mr. Olaolu Akindolire, Professor Igbekele Ajibefun, Dr. Oluwaseun Osemaye, Otunba Adewale Akinlosotu and Dr. Tob Loko.
Othera are Mr. Idowu Ajanaku, Engr. Alabi Johnson, Mr. Omoyofumi Henry, Pastor. Bola Ademuwagun, Engr. Leye Akinola, Dr. Banji Ajaka and Honourable Adesoji Afolabi.
Speaking on behalf of others, Hon. Olajide Sunday, appreciated Governor Aiyedatiwa for the opportunity, promising that they would key into all his developmental agendas aimed at putting smiles on the faces of individuals.
