PICTORIAL: Atiku Visits Kano To Mourn Death Of Dantata

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, on Sunday, visited Kano State to offer condolences to the family of the late elder statesman and business icon, Aminu Dantata, as well as to the Kano State Governor.

After arriving at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, Atiku proceeded to the residence of the late Dantata in Koki, where he met with members of the bereaved family.

The late elder statesman who died in Dubai, United Arab Emirates was buried earlier in the week in Medina, Saudi Arabia.

Atiku expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the respected businessman, describing his death as a great loss to the people of Kano and Nigeria as a whole.

After his visit to the family, the former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) continued to the Kano State Government House, where he was received by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

He commended the late Dantata’s immense contributions to economic development and philanthropy over several decades.

He prayed for God’s forgiveness and mercy upon the deceased.

In his remarks, Governor Yusuf thanked the former vice president for the visit and his show of solidarity.

He noted that late Dantata was a pillar of Kano’s economic and social progress, whose legacy would endure for generations.
