Ahmed Musa Vows To Revive Kano Pillars, Targets Global Success

New general manager of Kano Pillars, Ahmed Musa, has vowed to restore the club’s status as one of Africa’s premier football institutions.

At a familiarisation meeting with the club’s chairman, Alhaji Ali Muhammad Umar, and board members, Musa articulated his commitment to revitalising the club and building upon its illustrious history.

According to the media and communications directorate of Kano Pillars FC, the former Leicester City and CSKA Moscow striker emphasised the urgent need to work diligently towards international recognition for the four-time Nigerian champions.

“Kano Pillars is our club and one of the most successful in Nigeria, but in recent years, the narrative has shifted,” Musa stated. “I want to assure everyone present that, with your support and the backing of the board, I will do everything possible to reposition the club and make it one of the finest not just in Africa, but on a global scale.”

Musa noted that his extensive experience in European football, combined with his insights into the domestic league, would be vital in realising this ambitious vision.

He underscored the importance of unity, strategic planning, and unwavering dedication from management, players, supporters, and partners in moving the club forward.

His appointment as general manager by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano is part of a concerted effort to align Kano Pillars with global best practices.
