In a statement, the Director General of the National Sports Commission, Hon. Bukola Olopade, encouraged the team ahead of their first game.

“This is more than just a tournament, it’s a statement of belief in the future of Nigerian sports. Our girls are carrying the hopes of a proud nation, and we believe in their ability to compete, inspire, and achieve greatness. The NSC stands fully behind them, and we will continue to support the team, as they fly the Nigerian flag high.”

Led by Head Coach Faustina Akhere Juliana, and supported by Assistant Coaches Nyingifa Atonye and Usuwa Chinedu Stone, the Junior D’Tigress are focused, fired up, and ready to represent Naija on the global stage.
