Amb. Zainab Appointed Head Of Delegation To 30th UN 4th World Conference On Women In New York

The International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) said it was pleased to announce the appointment of Amb. Hajiya Zainab Mohammed as the head of delegation to attend the United Nations High-Level Meeting commemorating the 30th anniversary of the 4th World Conference on Women holding at the United Nations headquarters in New York on Monday, September 22, 2025.

She is expected to lead Eminent Peace Ambassadors from all over the world who will attend the event at the UN headquarters. The meeting will hold during the course of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

A statement signed by the International Spokesman of IAWPA, Amb Emmanuel Nkweke, said Amb. Zainab’s appointment was a testament to her tireless advocacy for gender equality and women’s empowerment. As a renowned champion of women’s rights, she has been instrumental in promoting gender balance and inclusion globally.

The 4th World Conference on Women, held in Beijing in 1995, was a landmark event that adopted the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action – a comprehensive plan to achieve global legal equality for women.

This anniversary, according to Amb. Nkweke, provides an opportunity to assess progress, address challenges, and reaffirm commitments to advancing women’s rights and empowerment.

As head of delegation, Hajiya Zainab Mohammed will lead IAWPA’s efforts to promote peace, development, and human rights, with focus on advancing Women’s Rights, strengthening international cooperation to promote women’s empowerment and gender equality, promoting Peace and Development, fostering partnerships to address challenges and opportunities in advancing women’s rights and empowerment as well as empowering Women and Girls which aims to support initiatives that promote women’s leadership, education, and economic empowerment.

The statement stressed that IAWPA was confident that Amb. Zainab’s leadership will inspire meaningful engagement and commitment to advancing women’s rights and empowerment globally.

“We look forward to her participation in this significant event and her continued advocacy for peace, development, and human rights,” he stated.

Chief Ambassador Hajiya Zainab Mohammed is the blend of a present-day grassroot canvasser, women and girls advocate, public speaker, and detribalized woman leader She has over two decades of local and global experience with sterling awards and recognitions to show for it.

She is the National Coordinator/Founder Partnership for Rural Women Development (P4RWD) and Nigerian Young Women Political Forum (NYWPF) is one of the exceptional Nigerian/African Woman who lives a life of essence and value. She has and still invests her wealth of wisdom and experience into the lives of women and girls, especially within the walls of non-governmental organizations, political and educational spheres of society as well as individual levels.

Her influence and impact cut across all the 36 states of Nigeria and across the globe.

She has served and continues to serve on a number of Board of various organizations especially in the United Kingdom,, & Africa both private organization (Charities, Community Groups, and NGOs), government bodies, schools).

She has the passion and vision of advocacy for women and Girls; gender inclusiveness, and participation at all levels of governance. She has founded and coordinated institutions that support women and girls to develop and build confidence.
