Nigeria international Victor Boniface has disclosed that he turned down a lucrative offer to join an English Premier League club in the past.

The 24-year-old, currently starring for Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, stated that he is not keen on the Premier League due to the pressure associated with playing in such high-stakes teams.

On The Culture League podcast, Boniface explained, “I don’t really like the Premier League — not that I wouldn’t take the opportunity if it arose, but it would have to be to a specific kind of team.”
