According to a statement released on Tuesday by the Special Adviser to the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, Kola Daniel, the host city is buzzing with energy, as cultural troupes showcase vibrant displays of Nigeria’s rich heritage.

North African delegations, among others, have expressed great enthusiasm, with many participating in traditional dances to immerse themselves in the fun and the atmosphere.

Meanwhile, the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) held its congress meeting at the Confluence Hotel, where key discussions were held regarding the future of athletics in Africa.

The session was led by CAA President Hamad Kalkaba Malboum, with discussions focusing on reforms, sustainability, and enhancing the competitive edge of African athletes on the global stage.

The Congress forms a strategic part of the championship activities, ensuring that the event is not solely about competition but also about establishing policies and a vision for the future of the sport on the continent.
