A theft incident in Atlanta, United States has resulted in the loss of hard drives containing unreleased music and sensitive materials belonging to global music icon, Beyoncé.
According to a police report, the hard drives, containing unreleased songs, show footage, and detailed set lists from past and future performances, were stolen from a rental car used by Beyoncé’s choreographer, Christopher Grant, during a stop on her Cowboy Carter tour.
The theft occurred on July 8, just two days before Beyoncé kicked off the Atlanta leg of her ongoing world tour.
Grant told authorities that he returned to find the vehicle’s rear window smashed and all his luggage missing.
Among the stolen items were Apple MacBooks, headphones, luxury clothing, and, most notably, hard drives containing highly sensitive content.
“The drives contained watermarked music, some unreleased music, footage plans for the show, and past and future set lists,” Grant said in the police report.
Atlanta police confirmed that a suspect has been identified and a warrant issued, but the individual remains at large.
Beyoncé is currently headlining the Cowboy Carter Tour, named after her 2025 Grammy-winning album.
The tour began on April 28 and is scheduled to conclude on July 26.
