Jumia Nigeria Appoints Ojo As CEO, To Drive Local Innovation, Customer Trust

Jumia, Africa’s leading e-commerce platform, has appointed Temidayo Ojo as the new chief executive officer (CEO) of Jumia Nigeria, succeeding Sunil Natraj.

This leadership change underscores Jumia’s dedication to nurturing homegrown talents and leveraging local expertise to foster innovation, enhance customer trust, and achieve sustainable growth in Nigeria’s dynamic market.

Ojo brings extensive experience and a deep understanding of the West African business environment.

After joining Jumia in 2020 as head of Planning and Performance, he quickly progressed to become chief commercial officer and then CEO of Jumia Ghana.

Under his leadership in Ghana, the company reached record-breaking growth levels while building a strong, positive organisational culture.

“I am deeply honoured and motivated to lead Jumia Nigeria, a market of great strategic importance with immense potential,” Ojo said. “Growing up in Nigeria gives me unique insight into the needs of our customers and partners,”he added.

Ojo holds an MBA in Finance, Strategy & Consulting from IESE Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Lagos.
