The achievement was announced as the company received the “Africa’s Most Innovative IT Training and Certification Solution Brand of the Year” award at the 2025 African Brand Innovators Summit (AFRIBIS).

The AFRIBIS award recognizes New Horizons Nigeria’s relentless commitment to building globally competitive digital talents through inclusive, industry-relevant, and impact-driven training programs. Since its inception, the company has positioned itself as a catalyst for digital transformation by pioneering practical and certification-aligned tech education for students, professionals, and institutions nationwide.

AFRIBIS, in its award citation, applauded New Horizons Nigeria for the robustness of its curriculum, hands-on approach to training, and a strategic focus on job creation. Through its internship-linked training model, the organization helps bridge the gap between learning and employment, offering thousands of students real-world work experience and increasing their career prospects in Nigeria’s growing digital economy.

“We are proud to have empowered over two million Nigerians with relevant digital skills in areas like AI, Cybersecurity, Data Engineering, Software Development, Cloud Computing, and Digital Marketing. This milestone is not just a number, it is a testament to our belief that Africa’s future lies in equipping its youth with the tools to innovate, compete, and lead in the global tech ecosystem,” the managing director of New Horizons Nigeria. Mr. Tim Akano affirmed.
