According to her, the essence of the engagement is to partner with the block molders who are the end users with a view to bring them closer to the company so that their brand Mangal Cement will be projected to the larger population.

“We expect that at the end of this engagement they will apply what they have learnt for their block production and to curtail sharp practices. Going forward, we urged them to continue to use the Mangal Cement brand because it was tested and trusted.

The GM also maintained that they have been operating for over a year now adding that the company has segments in the market and they have not really engaged the end users to their satisfaction to take feedback from them.

“We felt that it would be ideal to have this forum per region, two states in each of the regions to rub minds and to reaffirm our commitment to quality and innovation.

We trained the end users on best practices and standards. That is why we went into collaboration with Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) and the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) “

This forum brings together key Industry stakeholders, end users, regulators, and technical experts to engage in productive dialogue and knowledge-sharing around quality, standards, and performance in cement manufacturing and application,” she said.

Earlier, quality control and assurance manager, Mangal Cement, Ibrahim Bappa-Uba stated that its mission is to produce superior products that not only meet customer needs but also drive national development through job creation and wealth generation.

Similarly, zonal coordination, SON, Kenneth Joseph in his presentation titled “Quality Standards Regulatory Compliance and Best Practices  in Cement Usage stressed the importance of quality standards to include: structural integrity and safety, consistency and reliability, compliance with regulation and consumers confidence among others.

On his part, the head of Training, Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Yusuf Ibrahim in his presentation: “ The Role of Partnership in Block Making maintained that building strong partnership through strategic collaboration is crucial for achieving organisation goals and improving community level outcome.
