Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Nigeria’s Super Falcons following their triumphant win at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), where they stunningly secured their 10th continental title.

In a statement released by his chief press secretary, Ibrahim Kaula, the governor praised the team for their remarkable resilience and determination after staging a dramatic comeback to defeat hosts Morocco on their home soil.

“This win means more than just a trophy; the Super Falcons showed the kind of courage and commitment that define the true Nigerian spirit. Coming from behind to beat a tough Moroccan side in front of their home crowd shows what’s possible when talent meets hard work and unity,” he said.

The governor described the victory as a proud moment for every Nigerian and a testament to the strength of Nigerian women in sports, adding that the team’s performance will continue to inspire young girls and aspiring athletes across the nation.

Governor Radda also applauded the team’s coaching staff, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), and all fans who supported the squad throughout their campaign.
