To this end, the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has successfully migrated all Telecommunications firms to a new NIN verification platform, NINAuth.

This development marks a significant step forward in enhancing NIN verification services’ security, efficiency, and user experience.

The NINAuth platform, designed and implemented by NIMC, offers seamless verification services, giving Nigerians a more convenient and secure way to verify their identities.

By migrating to this new platform, Telecommunications firms can now provide uninterrupted verification services to their subscribers.

According to NIMC, this achievement is a result of its painstaking efforts to give the holders the power to control NIN data.

It stressed that the NINAuth platform enhances data protection, gives personal data owners control, offers seamless verification, and provides convenient sign-on access to services.

Responding to this development, the director, IT/IDD, NIMC, Engr Lanre Yusuf, confirmed that all Telecommunications firms have been successfully migrated and that the NIMC is offering uninterrupted verification services.

The commission, he noted, wishes to assure the general public that the Verification and Authentication   Service platforms are functional and accessible to all.

However, NIMC advised that any issues experienced by NIN  holders regarding New SIM registration, SIM swap, SIM migration, Welcome back SIM, and others should be directed to the Telcos for immediate resolution.

He said that by achieving this milestone, NIMC continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing secure, efficient, and user-friendly digital identity services to Nigerians.
