Momentum is building ahead of one of Nigeria’s most anticipated youth development gatherings: the National Youth Leaders and Stakeholders’ Summit, which will take centre stage on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Nicon Luxury Hotels, Abuja.
The summit, with the theme: “The Youths in 2027 and Beyond: Positioning for Leadership, Governance, and Policy Inclusion”, is expected to draw over 1,000 participants, including young leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, students, and changemakers from across Nigeria and beyond.
The minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, will open the summit, setting the tone for a full day of dialogue, strategy and empowerment.
Keynote speakers include: Prof. Chris Imumolen, 2023 Accord Party Presidential Candidate; Otunba Segun Showunmi, PDP chieftain; Hon. Gift Johnbull, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement (South-South); and Dr Elvis Abuyere, founder of The Visionary Leadership Company.
Amb. Jeremiah Agala, executive director of the Inspiring Youths Africa Initiative, the summit’s organisers, confirmed that the 2025 edition will continue its tradition of impact. The initiative is hosted in collaboration with Rest Logic Nigeria and proudly sponsored by Sollong.
“The summit seeks to inspire, empower, and equip young people for leadership roles, especially as Nigeria prepares for the 2027 general elections,” Agala said.
The summit agenda includes keynote addresses, panel discussions, capacity-building workshops, and interactive networking sessions to empower youth to engage in national transformation through leadership, civic participation, policy inclusion, and enterprise growth.
Agala noted that the program will address critical themes, including youth inclusion in leadership, human capital development, economic empowerment, and civic responsibility.
“Speakers will share personal stories of resilience and impact to inspire participants to lead with innovation, courage, and integrity,” he added.
Participants can also expect meaningful networking opportunities, potential mentorships, and access to local and global growth platforms.
Agala emphasised that admission is strictly by registration and advised interested participants to register early due to limited space.
This year’s summit is poised to inspire and serve as a launchpad for the next generation of Nigerian leaders in sectors including governance, entrepreneurship, education, and policy-making.
