Contrary to rumours making the rounds that trailblazing journalist, former Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of National Concord, has been secretly buried in Lagos according to Muslim rites, family members have urged the general public to disregard the information.

A family source on Thursday maintained that her funeral arrangements would be announced and widely publicised in due course.

According to them, arrangements for her interment will be relayed to the general public, hinting that her remains may be laid to rest in the Lekki area of Lagos State.

They also urged sympathisers wishing to pay their condolences at her Ikoyi residence, not at the MKO Abiola residence in Toyin Street, Ikeja.

Media personalities, friends, and well-wishers of the late Dr. Abiola, who was a towering figure in Nigeria’s media landscape, went to her Ikoyi residence on Thursday to pay a condolence visit to her daughter, Doyin Abiola-Tobun, and other family members.
