Peace Adewole of Welkins International School and Kenechukwu Azuike of St Gregory’s College have emerged as champions of the Junior and Senior categories, respectively, in the 2025 Cowbellpedia annual students’ quiz competition.

The organisers honoured the winners, schools and teachers with prizes up to N20 million and other items in a contest that promoted intellectual and mental capacity among secondary students.

Both winners, Adewole and Azuike, received N5 million each and an all-expense-paid trip to Kenya, a full year’s supply of Cowbell, alongside laptops and projectors for their schools.

The 2025 edition of the contest tagged, “The Mega Minds” had several students compete in the programme that lasted for weeks and was aired on TV.

With a total prize pool of up to N100 million, the 14-week Cowbellpedia show not only rewarded contestants from the preliminaries stage to the finals but also kept its audience entertained.

The iconic STEM and general knowledge quiz show continues to showcase and reward brilliance, wits, and intelligence among Nigeria’s brightest secondary school students. This year’s season raised the stakes, attracting over 5,000 students aged 11-17 from secondary schools across Nigeria to participate in a Computer-Based Test (CBT).

According to the managing director of Promasidor Nigeria, Francois Gillet, the competition featured 78 intense rounds of intellectual battles that culminated in a grand finale showcasing four gripping segments, 60 Seconds of Fame, Zone of Power, Cowbellpedia Bank, and the decisive Dignitary Shots, where the finalists vied for the coveted top prize.
