Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim announced this in a statement signed by his Press Secretary, Musa Tank Muhammad, on Saturday.

According to the statement, the Senior Special Assistant on Political Mobilisation to the Governor, Abubakar Umar Sharada was dismissed after a Special Investigative Committee “indicted him as the mastermind of the bail of a dangerous drug baron, Sulaiman Aminu Danwawu,” citing his own testimony as proof of his involvement.

Also dismissed was the Senior Special Assistant at the Cabinet Office, Tasiu Adamu Al’amin Roba who was accused of “rebagging palliative grains at a warehouse in Sharada” in 2024.

The statement disclosed that the dismissed aide is currently on trial for theft and criminal conspiracy.

Both men have been ordered to return all government property and warned not to present themselves as government officials.

In contrast, the government exonerated the Special Adviser on Drainages, Musa Ado Tsamiya after an investigative panel “affirmed his innocence.”

The SSG reaffirmed Governor Yusuf’s commitment to discipline, transparency, and zero tolerance for corruption, warning all appointees to uphold the highest standards of integrity.

The statement further cautioned the general public against engaging with the two sacked political appointees on any issue related to the Kano State Government, warning, “whoever does that, he or she does it at his or her own risk.”
