Top Immigration Officer ACGI Dada Dies At 58

The death has been announced of the former Oyo State Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), ACGI Dada Joseph Olutayo.

According to a press release by Mr Joshua Dada on behalf of the family, the late ACGI Dada died on Sunday at the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan, Oyo State, after a brief Illness.

Dada, who was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Comptroller General Immigration (ACGI) had served in various capacities in the Immigration Service.

The statement read in part: “The family of Michael Dada Ogunremi of Ilesa, Osun State, announce with sorrow but gratitude to God the passing unto glory of Mr. Dada Joseph Olutayo, (ACG) after a brief illness. He was aged 58.

“He died at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, on Sunday, 10th of August, 2025. He was a former Oyo State Comptroller of Immigration Service and recently promoted Assistant Comptroller General by Immigration Service.
