National secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rauf Aregbesola, has intensified the party’s membership drive in Lagos State. He said the move is to position to rescue Nigeria from the ruling All

Progressives Congress (APC) ‘s painful policies and governance in the upcoming 2027 elections.
Aregbesola spoke at ADC stakeholders meeting in Lagos. He accused the APC, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP) of lacking the vision to address the country’s needs.

The former minister of interior stated that political parties like the APC, PDP and LP have failed to offer a democratic platform for good governance, which Nigerians yearn for.
He said the ADC offers Nigerians a new deal to revitalise the nation.

Aregbesola encouraged attendees to participate actively in the ADC’s mass membership drive and promised to support their success.

He said, “I urge you to go out and spread the message of the ADC to all Nigerians, especially those in your local government areas.

“Inform them that a new era of hope and opportunity awaits them in our party, as we promise to set Nigeria back on the path of development and progress,” he stated.

Present at the event were notable politicians such as former Commissioner for Housing and Lagos State Influencer, Hon. Rahman Owokoniran, and the state Chairman of the party, George Ashiru, among many other party leaders.
