Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda will begin a three-week medical leave on Monday, August 18, 2025, following an accident that required medical attention.
In a statement issued by the State Commissioner for Information, Bala Salisu Zango, yesterday, the governor thanked the people of Katsina for their prayers, support and understanding during this period.
“Taking the necessary steps to prioritise my health is essential so I can continue to serve effectively and make the best decisions for our state. I look forward to returning to my duties as soon as I complete my medical check-up,” Radda said.
“To ensure uninterrupted governance, Deputy Governor Malam Faruk Lawal has been designated Acting Governor throughout Radda’s absence,” the statement said, expressing the Governor’s complete confidence in Lawal’s ability to manage the affairs of the state with dedication and commitment.
Governor Radda assured the public that he would return with renewed energy and continue delivering on his promises to the people of Katsina State.
