Meanwhile, host Delta State is intensifying its preparations to ensure a successful championship.
A member of the Local Organising Committee set up for the Games, Festus Ohwojero, a former Director General of the Delta Sports Commission, stated yesterday that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is keen to see a smooth organisation.
“As always, our Governor aims for a flawless organisation because he believes that Nigerian youths deserve the best. On our part, we are leaving no stone unturned in ensuring the best organisation for this 2025 edition of the National Youth Games,” Ohwojero remarked.
Team Delta has won every edition of the championships since their inception in 2015.
