The Senator representing Nasarawa West, Ahmed Wadada, has resigned his membership of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) a week after meeting with President Bola Tinubu.

LEADERSHIP recalls that the Nasarawa West lawmaker, who spoke with State House correspondents on August 13 after a meeting with Tinubu at the presidential villa, stated that no presidential aspirant on the Opposition’s African Democratic Congress (ADC) platform can match Tinubu’s performance in office.

His resignation was communicated in a letter to the party chairman in Tudun Kofa ward, Keffi LGA of Nasarawa State.

The letter read, “I am writing to inform you of my decision to resign as a member of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), effective immediately.

“This decision has not been taken lightly, but I feel compelled to do so due to the lingering internal crisis that has plagued our party for some time.

“As you are aware, these internal conflicts have led to serious divisions and litigations within the party.
