Scheme Empowers 40 Abia Rice Farmers

Anderson Okoro Agriculture Empowerment Scheme has empowered 40 Abia Arise rice farmers in Ovukwu Abam, Arochukwu local government area of Abia State with N50,000 each.

At the event in Ndi Oji Abam, the founder and sponsor of the scheme, Anderson Okoro said the gesture is in appreciation of the governor, Alex Otti’s transformative agenda in the state.

The entrepreneur and philanthropist thanked Otti for reconstructing the Ozu-Ndi Oji Abam-Arochukwu Road which he described as a boost to the agriculture sector.

‎He also commended James Umeh, a pillar of development in Abam Onyerubi, for extending developmental projects across Abam clan.

Okoro, who assured of his continued support to Abia Arise Movement for ushering in good governance in the state, urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the money to help themselves.

The chairman of the occasion, Jones Nnanna-Ike; the state chairman of the movement, Nkem Okoro and the area’s Labour Party chairman, Godswill Onuoha, thanked Okoro for his kindness.
Some of the beneficiaries, Eke Ben from Ndi Oji and Kalu Eke Olaka from Atan Abam, commended the founder of the scheme for the kind gesture.

Earlier, the coordinator of the scheme, Agwu Chika Uda said the beneficiaries were selected based on merit after a visit to their farms, urging them to invest the money wisely.
