Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has urged new signing Eberechi Eze to make an immediate impact at the club. Despite Tottenham leading the race to secure Eze’s signature, their north London rivals Arsenal managed to hijack the deal last week, quickly agreeing terms with Crystal Palace.

Eze has become Mikel Arteta’s seventh summer signing and aims to help Arsenal in their quest to end a long wait for a Premier League title. In a conversation with the club’s website, Henry expressed his enthusiasm for Arsenal’s acquisition of Eze and encouraged him to “make it count.”

“First and foremost, welcome to Arsenal,” Henry said on the club’s official website. “You don’t understand how happy we all are. We know how much you wanted to play for Arsenal and wear the cannon at the Emirates. It’s no longer a dream; it’s a reality. Make sure you make it count.

“Remember, when I first arrived at Arsenal, I was told that this is a club of class, a family club, and you have to fight no matter what. All the very best; I’m so happy. Come on, Arsenal!”
