Chairman of the Board of Elders of the Dr. Richard Olajide and Rev. Modupe Oloidi Foundation (ROMOF), Dr. Osaren Emokpae, has congratulated the newly constituted Board of Trustees of the foundation led by Rev. Theophilus Ihejirika.
Emokpae, who is the president of Macedonia Call Global Assembly, expressed delight that the new team is taking off with fresh vigour and renewed sense of commitment to the work of the foundation, which is helping retired clergymen and widows
In a statement he issued yesterday, the eminent cleric also applauded the pioneer board headed by Rev. Godwin Onofomi for their dedication and sacrificial service, which laid a strong foundation for ROMOF to become an impactful organisation.
Other members of the new board are Pastors Yemi Kolawole, Innocent Okoro, Joseph Agumagu, Eric Obasuyi, Mrs. Patricia Oni and Mr. Divine Uwaleke.
The group was established to provide support for retired ministers of the Gospel, many of whom face desperate health challenges and struggle with the basic necessities of life, including food. It also extends its reach to poor widows, giving them hope, dignity and a lifeline in difficult times.
As part of its renewed drive, the foundation will host its inaugural dinner under the new Board of Trustees on October 11, 2025, in Lagos, Nigeria. This event will rally partners, friends and well-wishers to support the cause and strengthen the capacity of ROMOF to touch more lives.
Rev. Richard Oloidi and Mrs. Modupe Oloidi, senior pastors of the Riverdale Foursquare Church in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, are the spiritual parents of Emokpae.
For over three decades, they have dedicated their lives to ministry – planting churches, mentoring leaders, restoring hope and transforming lives both within and outside Africa.
Speaking on their legacy, Emokpae described the Oloidis as selfless shepherds whose unwavering commitment to God’s work and people is a rare gift to this generation.
He stated that the establishment of ROMOF is a true reflection of their heart for service, ensuring that those who have laboured faithfully in ministry do not end their journey in neglect or despair.
Meanwhile, the new leadership of ROMOF has pledged to uphold these values and expand the foundation’s outreach, ensuring that more retired ministers and widows are reached with compassion, care and practical help.
