Perfect Chau Catering Services.

Registered as a company in 2015, Perfect Chau Catering, is a proudly Nigerian world-class food and events company that specialises in making small chops, grills, asun, and drinks, among others, for all kinds of indoor and outdoor events.

Taiwo believes working with the most sufficient technology in food processing to improve the lives of customers is his primary purpose.

A company driven by the knowledge that customers know and trust our services, produced from the finest ingredients in a hygienic environment with passion and pride.

How It Started

The whole idea, he said, started in his university days (Bowen University) with a few friends to meet the needs of course-mates and other students away from the usual kind of food like; eba, noodles, and rice, hemce, started having grills at school rallies, departmental programmes, and so on.

“After graduation, I decided to go into the business full-time and that was when I also coined the name Perfect Chau from tWhe graduating set that year, which was ‘Perfection Set’ and the word ‘Chau’ was a slang very common amongst us, meaning food. Since then, we have moved from one level to another,” he said.

Personally, he said, the business has been lucrative but it depends on one’s perspective. For me, meeting clients’ needs is the main focus and part of what motivates me because once that is done one can reap the dividends, he stressed.

Challenges

The challenges faced in this business, he noted,  are enormous. “The prices of food items keep increasing every few minutes. For instance, four years ago, a carton of chicken was sold for about N11,000 but now  it is being sold for N20,000. The same is for groundnut oil.

“Another challenge faced is in the area of staff. Some don’t understand the vision you are working with. They just don’t want to do certain things when you instruct them to,” he pointed out.

Advice To Young Entrepreneurs

He urged young entrepreneurs to be passionate about whatever they are interested in. To him, “they should also try to learn from those who are currently doing what they want to accomplish to shorten the learning curve.

“Another key thing I can educate anyone who wishes to work in my profession is that you should try not to disappoint your consumers because they contribute significantly to your success. Be yourself in any field you play in, don’t attempt to compete with others, and try to treat yourself as much as possible.”
