According to the governor, the directive is to spike the enrollment in the northern part of the state, which had suffered devastation from over a decade of insurgency.

Governor Zulum who expressed the concern when he inaugurated a Higher Islamic College in Gajiganna, in the northern part of the state, ordered for the provision of free meals in the Higher Islamic College and schools with low enrollment.

The governor emphasised the need for deliberate measures to promote education in northern Borno, which has been devastated by over a decade of insurgency.
