Foundation Engages In Market Sanitation

Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation has engaged in the sanitation of Better Life Market, Lokpanta Umuchieze and its surrounding in the Abia State monthly environmental clean-up exercise for the month of August.

‎Speaking to LEADERSHIP last Saturday, after the exercise, the zonal coordinator, Oguama Ikechukwu, reaffirmed his commitment to environmental sanitation and community health.

‎‎”We also embarked on desilting of the drainage, proper waste disposal, and sensitized the residents on maintainance of hygienic conditions in and within the marketplace,”

‎‎”These are geared towards ensuring and partnering the Alex Otti- led administration to keep Umunneochi local government area in particular and the state in general clean,” according to him.

‎‎He lauded members of the foundation, traders, market women, and the youths for turning out en masse to participate in the exercise and urged residents to sustain the culture of sanitation.

‎‎”I thank God for the vision He granted the founder and executive director of the foundation, Oluebube A. Chukwu and pray for him to continue to bless and have impacts on lives across the area.”

‎‎Contributing, the deputy mayor of the area, Igbo Chukwunonye, appreciated Chukwu for his kindness towards the people and enjoined them to reciprocate it by by adopting good environmental habits.

‎‎Similarly a stakeholder of the community Madu Felix, who commended the initiative, prayed for Chukwu to attain greater political heights and enjoined him to continue his good work.
