Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembele and Barcelona’s Aitana Bonmati have won the top prizes at the 2025 Ballon d’Or awards.

Dembele, who helped PSG become the first French side to win a continental treble last season, beat Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal to the men’s award. Spain international Bonmati won the Ballon d’Or Féminin for the third year in a row, edging out Mariona Caldentey. The duo were presented the accolades at the Ballon d’Or ceremony held at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris on Monday night.

Dembele, 28, provided 43 goal contributions in 44 Ligue 1 and Champions League games last season, as PSG won both competitions as part of a historic treble that also included the Coupe de France.

Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal was named the world’s best young player for the second year running after landing the Kopa Trophy at the Ballon d’Or awards in Paris. The teen sensation was instrumental in Barcelona’s success, winning the La Liga title, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup in the 2024-25 season. And he played a starring role in Spain’s triumphant run to glory at last year’s European Championship.

Paris Saint-Germain was voted as the Men’s Club of the Year at the 2025 Ballon d’Or gala after Les Parisiens won a historic quadruple led by Luis Enrique. While Arsenal were named the Women’s Club of the Year after their massive Women’s Champions League last season under Renee Slegers, becoming the first side to dethrone Barcelona from the pedestal.
