Youths from Niger East Senatorial District have applauded Senator Mohammed Sani Musa for being named among the top 10 most productive lawmakers in the 10th National Assembly that worked for the realisation of the Tax Reform.

The youths made the commendation during a courtesy visit to the lawmaker, following the release of the National Assembly Deliberative Barometer and Policy Focus Productivity Report by ERGAF Africa.

The report, covering June 14, 2023, to June 13, 2024, ranked Senator Musa sixth out of 109 senators and credited him with 31 substantive legislative interventions, including bills, motions, and resolutions.

The youths, led by Dr Isah Imam Paiko, described the recognition as evidence of Senator Musa’s “purposeful and impactful representation.” They highlighted his focus on digital innovation, education, and job creation, noting that his legislative agenda has placed young people at the centre of national development.

Paiko further commended Senator Musa’s leadership as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance, citing his role in advancing the 2025 Tax Reform Bill, which he said would expand opportunities for small businesses and young entrepreneurs.

In his remarks, Senator Musa expressed gratitude for the youths’ solidarity and pledged to sustain efforts toward legislation that drives economic growth, national security, and youth empowerment. He urged them to remain active participants in governance and community development.

Observers note that the visit reflects Senator Musa’s strong bond with his constituents, particularly the youth, who see his legislative record as a model of effective representation.
