The Academy of Management Nigeria (TAMN) has elected Prof. Samaila Mande of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) as its new president.
He was unanimously elected at the academy’s 19th annual general meeting, which took place at Southern Delta University in Ozoro, Delta State.
The organisation is the highest body of scholars and intellectuals in management-related fields in Nigeria.
Mande, a business administration scholar specialising in marketing communication and entrepreneurship, has served as the Academy’s national secretary.
He is also a visiting scholar at the School of Media and Communication, Pan Atlantic University, Lagos and military institutions in Nigeria.
As president of the academy, he is expected to provide leadership and direction to the organisation and promote research, education, and practice in management and leadership.
The Academy’s publicity secretary, Prof. Justine Gabriel, said in a press statement, “Mande’s appointment is a testament to his expertise and dedication to the field.
“We congratulate Prof. Samaila Mande on his election as President of the Academy of Management Nigeria. We look forward to working with him to advance management knowledge and research in Nigeria.”
