Yobe Urges Indigenes To Join Nigerian Navy Basic Training School

The Yobe State Government has called on all interested indigenes of the state to apply for admission into the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School (NNBTS) Batch 38, whose online registration has officially commenced.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and signed by Adamu Baba Umar, Director of Recruitment Services, which was made available to LEADERSHIP in Damaturu.

He said that the registration exercise began on Thursday, October 2, 2025, and will close October 31, 2025.

According to the statement, all prospective candidates are to complete their registration through the official Nigerian Navy recruitment portal at www.joinnigeriannavy.navy.mil.ng.

However, applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 22 years for SSCE, WAEC, or NECO holders, while those with Diploma or NCE qualifications must be between 18 and 26 years.

The government also advised candidates applying for the trade category to ensure they possess a valid trade test certificate in relevant fields such as tailoring, welding, plumbing, electrical works, carpentry, or a valid professional licence for medical-related trades.
