A former governorship candidate of Taraba State, David Sabon Kante, has expressed confidence that All Progressives Congress (APC) will win all elective seats in the 2027 general elections.

Kante, said this while dismissing claims that he is the brain behind the planned defection of Governor Agbu Kefas to APC.

Taraba State is currently controlled by the PDP.

But according to Kante, “The APC stands the chance to produce the next governor of the state without missing words.

“As you are aware, in Taraba State, the APC has a 95 percent chance of winning the next election,” he said.

The APC chieftain, who aspired for the 2023 governorship position under the SDP, said he is still consulting with the people and party  stakeholders over whether to contest for the same seat in 2027.

“There are several calls on me, from the Christian and Muslim groups, individuals, young and adults, and even some members of the PDP are calling for me to contest.

I am still consulting and may decide to heed to the calls of the people, if it becomes necessary,” he said.

He denied any link to the rumoured decision of Governor Kefa defecting to APC, saying those peddling the rumour are bent on damaging his political plans.
