Renowned Nollywood actress and producer, Benita Onyiuke, has won the award for Best Nollywood Drama Series for her film ‘A Ride with Forever’ at the Tinff Gala Award, International Nollywood, held in Toronto, Canada.
The announcement was made on Onyiuke’s official Instagram page, where she shared photos from the red-carpet event, dressed elegantly in a sleeveless diamond-accented gown paired with black heels.
In the post, Onyiuke expressed gratitude to the organisers of the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) for recognising her work, describing the honour as a reward for dedication and perseverance. “Every award reminds me that hard work and faith truly pay off. It is not just about the recognition but about the journey — the long nights on set, the sacrifices, and the passion that keep me going,” she wrote.
Speaking on the winning film, A Ride with Forever, the actress said the project was inspired by faith and told a story about love, redemption, and second chances. “It was a project born out of inspiration from God and pure passion. The story connected deeply with people, and I believe that truth is what made it stand out,” she noted.
Onyiuke, who played the lead role, described her character as a woman torn between love, hope, and redemption, adding that many women could relate to the struggles and strength portrayed in the film.
The Anambra State-born star dedicated the award to God, her family, and all young women pursuing their dreams. “You can do it. I am proof that it is possible,” she stated.
Her post attracted congratulatory messages from fans and colleagues across Nigeria and abroad. Onyiuke assured her supporters of more impactful projects ahead, saying the award serves as motivation for greater creativity and international recognition through her production outfit, B’NIT Productions.
