Imam spoke in Ilorin, the state capital  during the inter-ministerial press briefing organised by the State Ministry of Communications.

She stated that the children are kept at the state Child Reception Centre (CRC) where their needs were  being attended to by the state government.

She explained that rescuing and supporting vulnerable and street-connected children who are often victims of poverty, family abuse, conflict or neglect, is part of the social responsibilities of the government,  promising the state government’s continuing efforts on child protection and social reintegration.
